2015 reckoner - cabernet sauvignon shiraz
the wine front - REVIEW BY gary walsh
A Cabernet Shiraz blend, with the Cabernet being dominant, as well it should be.
Smells good, tastes good, feels good. Blackcurrant pastille, slight leafiness, spice, a little chocolate and cigar box. Squishy blue and black fruit with a pastille-like flavour, fine fresh raspberry acidity, open-knit tannin that’s fun to swish around and explore, and a nice long finish with perhaps a nibble of black olive trailing in the aftertaste. Excellent. Great to drink, especially at present.
