the wine front - REVIEW BY Campbell Mattinson

67/33 blend. Matured in all-French oak for 18 months. 1900 bottles.

Hard to argue with the quality here. It’s a thick, dense wine, not the most vibrant or lively but with plenty of heft. A red to sink your teeth into. A red for winter, beside the gas faux fire. The integration of oak, fruit and indeed the two varieties is seamless and smooth. Blackberry, blackcurrant and the prettiness of violet and smoked vanilla. Most red lovers will enjoy.
