2023 Inkwell Pink Cashmere Rosé
The 2023 Inkwell Pink Cashmere Rosé is our third vintage making rosé from Mataro and we think our best yet. This is a dry textural style of rosé much more in tune with regional expression, like rosés from the North of Spain and the Southwest of France than most Australian rosés. A bit serious but not too serious to quaff with lunch. It is lovely and fresh. Drink now or up to 2027.
Light pink/orange hues comes from about 4 hours on skins. From finishing picking to finishing pressing, this wine had only 7h in contact with its skins. In French, Mataro is known as Mourvedre and in Spain the variety is known as Monastrell. This is a perfect dry and savoury styled wine to be enjoyed chilled. Alc. 11.8% by Vol.
